Past, Present and Future at the 2015 Chicago River Student Congress

Teachers, students and officials from Chicago City Day School, Von Steuben HS, Amundsen HS, Glenbrook North HS, Taft HS, NEIU, Roosevelt University, DePaul University, the Forest Preserves of Cook County, the Alliance for the Great Lakes, Friends of the Forest Preserves, and the MWRD joined 第一吃瓜 for the 2015 Chicago River Student Congress on Saturday, February 21st at Taft High School.

The theme of this year's Congress was Chicago River: Past, Present and Future with volunteers playing the roles of a river explorer from 1673, a Chicago Sanitary District engineer from 1900 and a person from the year 2100. While the students learned about the river's past and future, they also had the chance to teach these "special guests" about the state of the river today.
