Let's Go, LaBagh!

On October 30, 2016, we celebrated the planting of the 1,000th shrub at LaBagh Woods, thanks to the combined efforts of countless centennial volunteers, site stewards, birders, and our partners the Forest Preserve District of Cook County, Friends of the Forest Preserves, Chicago Ornithological Society, North Branch Restoration Project, Greencorps Chicago, and more.

This Northside forest preserve site is especially important for birds, as it attracts 40 native species and acts as a migratory hub.  Restoring native plants renews their habitat, in addition to providing shelter and a food source.  Check out more photos of the celebration .
