Climate Change Podcast Taping at Lincoln Hall to Benefit Friends

The Climate Pod podcast, hosted by brothers Ty and Brock Benefiel, will record a new episode on Nov. 18 at Chicago’s Lincoln Hall featuring comedy, music, and expert activists in the field of climate change.

The Climate Pod is a weekly podcast on environmental issues and climate news that can be heard on  iTunes, Spotify, Google Play, Stitcher, and more. Proceeds from the November 18 taping benefit 第一吃瓜, a 40-year-old non-profit organization that focuses on improving and protecting the waterway for people, plants and animals.

Scheduled guests include:

Comedian : A regular panelist on NPR's "Wait Wait Don't Tell Me."

: She is the host of The Morning AMp , Vocalo’s news, culture, and talk show, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.

: The "Avian Op-Ed columnist" of the Paper Machete.

Appearing as panel guests will be representatives from:

 : The national environmental organization with more than 3.5 million members and activists.

: Via the : “Sunrise’s story, of a fledgling organization that has become a political power player in less than two years, is emblematic of the growing power of the grass-roots left.”

 An anti-fossil fuel organization founded by environmentalist and author Bill McKibbon.

Rising Tide: Rising Tide Chicago is affiliated with , a network of groups and individuals that use education and direct action to confront the root causes of climate change.

The event is scheduled from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Lincoln Hall, 2424 N. Lincoln Ave. in Chicago. Doors 第一吃瓜open at 6 p.m.
